Job Summary

MCI is a leading manufacturer of motor coaches, and we are seeking a skilled Body Repair II to join our team. As a Body Repair II, you will be responsible for removing, repairing, and replacing various motor coach components, including body and frame components, lights, doors, windows, and upholstery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Removal, repair, and replacement of body and frame components, including riveted, spot-welded, and perimeter-welded parts, panels, frame members, and bulkheads.
  • Removal, repair, and replacement of lights, doors, windows, and body accessories.
  • Pre-delivery inspection of new and pre-owned coaches.
  • Assist Mechanic I and II.
  • General lubrication functions, including engine oil/filter changes, air filter changes, chassis lubrication, transmission fluid and filter changes, differential fluid checks, axle/wheel inspection, removal, and replacement of brake components, and lubrication.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in body repair and mechanical work on automotive, bus, or coach components and systems.
  • CDL preferred.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in the use of pneumatic riveter, sanders, grinders, hydraulic pullers, pressure painting equipment, standard fastener equipment, standard tools, oxygen/acetylene welding, ARC, MIG, and T.G. welding equipment, and body filler material and fiberglass.
  • Ability to prepare accurate parts and component listings for body damage repairs and assist shop management in preparing accurate repair time estimates.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and basic computer skills, including experience with Oracle or similar systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
