About the Role

The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Associate to join our team in Washington Heights/Inwood. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to families and visitors, managing front-facing communications, and supporting a wide range of administrative tasks and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for families and visitors, ensuring a warm and solution-oriented service.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to plan and execute school events, including ceremonies, graduation, family events, concerts, special events, and field trips.
  • Interface with Tech Support Firms and other technology vendors to provide support for staff and student technology needs.
  • Cultivate a culture of operational excellence and collaboration across the organization.
  • Manage student information across different Student Information Systems, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for seamless operational processes.
  • Support day-to-day business operations of the school, refining operational systems, processes, and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and streamline workflows.

Requirements:

  • Complete fluency in Spanish required, with excellent communication skills and writing ability across English and Spanish.
  • Working knowledge of school systems preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships skills, with the ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and interact with others respectfully.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Competitive annual salary in the range of $58,500 to $65,000, based on the individual's experience level.

  • The Operations Associate reports directly to TEP's Director of School Operations.
