As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the underwriting process, ensuring accurate and timely decisions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and make informed decisions on coverage and pricing.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with agents, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze coverage and limit requests, and decide on terms to offer.
  • Price business in accordance with company guidelines and assess risk quality and compliance.
  • Order and screen miscellaneous reports needed in the rating and underwriting processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external customers/coworkers.
  • Interpret, explain, and market products and services.
  • Administer, apply, and may update underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations.
  • Provide technical advice to lower-level associates and other functional areas.
  • May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Field of Study: Business, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Generally, 6 to 10 years of related experience. May be in the process of obtaining or may have already completed certification in area of expertise.
