Job Summary

This position offers the chance to collaborate with a positive team, ensuring timely delivery of GAF's commercial roofing products. The Warehouse Associate will report to the Supply Chain Manager in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. Familiarity with forklift operations is essential for safely loading and unloading materials, maintaining efficient and secure workflows. The ideal candidate will excel in a setting where safety, quality, service, and cost are paramount, while consistently delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

● Adhere to all plant safety and environmental standards

● Maintain a safe working environment and report any incidents

● Demonstrate safe practices in all tasks

● Achieve and maintain forklift certification through in-house training

● Ensure cleanliness and organization in work areas

● Coordinate daily tasks with the Shipping Lead

● Operate forklifts safely, remaining aware of pedestrian traffic

● Participate in inventory counting as required

● Follow FIFO principles for inventory management

● Prepare products for shipment by verifying packing slips and assembling pallets

● Load products onto vehicles while adhering to weight guidelines

● Confirm product accuracy for shipments

● Utilize safety measures when loading and unloading trailers

● Maintain effective communication with the Supply Chain Manager regarding any issues

● Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager

Physical Requirements

● Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities

● Frequent movement including sitting, walking, and standing; occasional climbing and balancing

● Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through electronic devices

● Must be able to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

● High School Diploma or GED required

● Minimum of 3 years experience in a fast-paced logistics or manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills

● Experience in a customer-focused, collaborative team environment

● Proficiency in various software applications, including Google Suite and WMS

● Strong problem-solving and project management abilities
