About the Position

AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated and talented Configuration Manager-Journeyman to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation. This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing meeting minutes for all Configuration Management (CM) meetings between government customers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plans, implements, and maintains CM audits, CM libraries, Configuration Items (CI's), and software baselines.
  • Establishes and tracks baselines using CM tools.
  • Manages version control of software deliverables to end-user customers.
  • Assists in developing, coordinating, and staffing contract deliverable requirements.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison for project CM activities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Tracks and communicates configuration status accounting for assigned projects to government customers, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of CM plans and procedures in accordance with government regulations.
Requirements
  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or other technical field.
  • 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • DoD Data Transfer Agent (DTA) clearance/certification.
  • Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration pipelines like Atlassian and/or GitLabs.
  • Experience using distributed source control software (Git) at an enterprise level.
  • Familiarity with shell scripting (both Windows and Linux preferred).
  • The ability to maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance-Secret Clearance required to start.
Desired Skills
  • The ability to conform to existing procedures and policies with repeatability, precision, and timeliness.
  • The ability to contribute to critiques, revisions, and creations of new policies as needs arise.
  • The ability to present briefings to government customers.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, SharePoint, and other MS Office products.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Physical Environment and Working Conditions

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.

The physical environment requires the employee to stand, walk, and/or move throughout the workday, often bending over and lifting items up to approximately 50 lbs.
