Project Development Manager

Korsail Energy, a leading solar and storage project developer based in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a highly skilled Project Development Manager to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to drive the development of greenfield solar and storage projects from initial land search efforts through to commercial operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify market opportunities and perform due diligence on potential development parcels
  • Manage local and national permitting on multiple projects across various jurisdictions
  • Oversee a diverse group of consultants, engineers, attorneys, and other project stakeholders
  • Manage project development budgets and milestones to achieve on-time and at-or-under-cost delivery
  • Originate and negotiate power purchase agreements
  • Interface directly with landowners, investors, and other project stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in utility scale solar project development, preferably in a project management or development role
  • Demonstrated experience with projects connecting to ISOs and PURPA
  • Proven track record of project management, land development, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Understanding of finance and energy markets
  • GIS experience, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth
  • Experience with land acquisitions, project zoning/permitting, transmission and distribution-level interconnection, and energy storage (a plus)
  • High proficiency with project management software and the MS Office suite

  • A competitive salary range of $100,000 to $150,000 per annum, depending on individual factors
