Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Holston Medical Group. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality MRI scans, assisting radiologists and referring physicians, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI cross-sectional imaging and other related procedures as directed by a licensed physician.
  • Operate and monitor MRI equipment, programming the machine to the proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time.
  • Explain testing procedures to patients and position them for the MRI test.
  • Monitor patients' conditions before and after the scan to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Administer contrast media accurately under the direction of a radiologist.
  • Enforce magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operators, and visitors.
  • Maintain patient logs, equipment service manuals, delivery schedules, and related statistics.
  • Deliver quality patient care and services in accordance with regulated standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as a MRI Tech.
  • Completion of an AMA-approved two-year Radiology program with an AS degree in Radiology.
  • State License Required (preferred).
  • CT Experience (preferred, not required).
  • Graduates from a four-year program with a BS RT (preferred).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate.

Marginal: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 25% of the time. Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.
