The Property Community Leader is entrusted with the comprehensive management of all community operations, ensuring that properties are consistently maintained to high standards while also achieving fiscal stability. This role is pivotal in providing residents with a clean, safe, and well-managed living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the management, training, and safety of all personnel assigned to the community. Must possess the ability to evaluate critical situations and make sound decisions independently.

2. Handle the recruitment and training of staff, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend salary adjustments while adhering to company policies.

3. Develop work schedules and assign tasks for both routine and emergency situations, including approving time-off requests.

4. Ensure staff are trained in safe operational procedures and report any incidents to the appropriate authorities.

5. Design and implement marketing strategies for leasing units, including conducting property tours and preparing lease agreements while staying informed about market trends.

6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding resident eligibility and swiftly address any compliance issues.

7. Assist in the preparation and execution of the annual budget, maintaining accurate financial records, including payroll and cash management.

8. Supervise external contractors and ensure that all work is completed on time and meets quality standards.

9. Lead the office and maintenance teams during resident move-ins/outs and inspections.

10. Foster positive relationships with residents and community service providers to address concerns and implement improvements.

11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding accounting and operations.

12. Conduct regular property inspections, identifying areas for improvement and taking necessary actions.

13. Obtain required certifications or licenses within the first year of employment and maintain compliance with all relevant laws.

14. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of two years in multi-family residential management, with direct supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of leasing processes is essential. Experience with Tax Credit, Section 8, or Public housing is advantageous.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; two or more years of college preferred. Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus.

Skills: Professional demeanor with strong conflict resolution abilities. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, particularly in financial record-keeping. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.

Working Conditions:

This role primarily involves an office environment but requires the ability to engage with residents in their homes and inspect properties, including navigating multi-story buildings. Flexibility for evening and weekend work may be necessary, along with on-call availability for emergencies.
