Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Animal Care Technician to join our team at the Oxford Animal Resource Center. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to the animals in our facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily care and maintenance of animal living areas, including cleaning and sanitizing kennels, food and water bowls, and equipment.
- Assist with the intake and processing of new animals, including inspection and vaccination.
- Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse and assist with laundry and other tasks as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to the public and staff, answering phones and responding to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with animal adoptions, including meet and greets and providing information to potential adopters.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; animal care experience preferred.
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
