We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Federal Signal Corporation. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality materials and equipment to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize procurement needs, develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
- Source and Procure Materials and Equipment: Identify and qualify suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage the procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
- Manage Inventory and Logistics: Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Analyze and Report Procurement Metrics: Track and analyze procurement metrics, including cost savings, quality improvements, and supplier performance, to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Suppliers: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and optimize procurement processes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
