RESPONSIBILITIES AS A RESPITE SERVICES FACILITATOR
In this capacity, you will focus on providing support to families with children experiencing significant emotional challenges or dual diagnoses of SED and Autism through our Planned Respite Program. Working under the direction of the Respite Coordinator, you will design and implement planned respite activities while complying with state and organizational guidelines. Your knowledge of social and economic challenges, family dynamics, and community resources will be invaluable.
Your daily responsibilities will include utilizing a systems approach model, applying behavior management strategies, and delivering home and community-based training and respite services. You will concentrate on both the child and the family, conducting assessments, collaborating to develop Individualized Family Respite Plans (IFRP), and aiding families in accessing community respite options. Your role is crucial in upholding System of Care values and achieving programmatic objectives, thereby significantly enhancing the well-being and success of the children and families you support.
