Job Title: Research Post Doc Fellow

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral research fellow to join our team at the University of Kansas Medical Center. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with Dr. Halinder Mangat, an Associate Professor of Neurology in Neurocritical Care, and Director of Clinical Research, Brain Trauma Foundation.

Job Summary:

The postdoctoral research fellow will be extensively involved in a severe traumatic brain injury Phase 1 multi-center clinical trial funded by the Department of Defense. The fellow will receive training through KUMC and have access to an integrated and comprehensive research environment for the clinical trial and related research activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and disseminate findings from basic and clinical research at the KUMCRI, including data analysis with advanced software and manuscript preparation.
  • Participate in finalizing standard operating procedures, statistical analysis plans, manuscripts, and their publications.
  • Perform systematic reviews on related topics and prepare manuscripts.
  • Contribute to grant development and submission, including training grants and research grants.
  • Collaborate with the research team, including research assistants and students.
Requirements:
  • PhD or equivalent terminal degree (such as MD, DVM, PsyD, PharmD, etc.).
  • Strong English skills and ability to write and communicate with a scientific audience.
  • Experience in clinical trials or clinical epidemiology.
  • Ability to independently plan, multi-task, and complete projects.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $47,476.00 to $80,000.00 per year, with a midpoint of $66,000.00. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions, including education, experience, and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding.
