Job Summary

We are seeking an Assistant/Associate Scientist to join our growing Analytical Sciences team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing analytical testing using various cellular and/or molecular biology analysis platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tasks using a variety of cellular and/or molecular biology analysis platforms.
  • Collect and review data using manual and/or electronic systems.
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of laboratory equipment and experimental procedures.
  • Communicate routine updates and technical challenges to the team.
  • Recognize deviations and unusual occurrences, and notify responsible individuals promptly.
  • Complete and maintain training to remain compliant with regulatory and health/safety requirements.
  • Train less experienced staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, molecular genetics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related work experience in performing cell or molecular assay techniques.
  • Excellent documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to follow regulatory requirements to ensure accurate data recording and verification.
  • Ability to work in a BSL-2 research laboratory environment.
  • Willingness to be immunized with licensed and FDA-approved vaccines and medications.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate non-standard work hours.
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours a week when needed.
