The Opportunity
As a dedicated Business Risk and Controls Principal, you will lead complex risk management initiatives, leveraging deep expertise and thought leadership. You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and IT partners to develop and implement regulatory risk mitigation strategies and solutions for the first line of defense. Your role will significantly enhance organizational risk controls and compliance, ensuring processes and procedures are in place to monitor and handle regulatory risk.

This position offers remote work opportunities in the continental U.S., with occasional business travel. Relocation assistance is not available.

Key responsibilities include coordinating, guiding, and driving the implementation, development, and maintenance of risk management solutions, staying current on laws, regulations, and industry standards, and serving as a trusted advisor and thought leader to senior leadership, EC, and Board members.

Salary
Our salary range is competitive, based on market data and your experience. You will be paid within this range, taking into account your qualifications and skills. Employees may also be eligible for performance-based pay incentives.

Job Description
Your primary focus will be on leading all aspects of risk and quality control improvements, driving strategic mitigation recommendations for major initiatives, and consulting for other business divisions on control design to address strategic, operational, financial, and regulatory risks. Additionally, you will establish and monitor key performance and risk indicators to identify potential trends early on. Your expertise will ensure that risks associated with business activities are identified, measured, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Required skills and qualifications include bachelor's degree, or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree. A minimum of ~10 years' experience in risk management, audit, and/or compliance, including 6 years of specific SME experience and accountability for designing and implementing risk management technical and non-technical strategies and solutions, is required. Strong understanding of business operations and management, extensive knowledge of compliance laws, rules, and regulations, and mastery of risk management consulting skills are essential.
