Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to patients, ensuring optimal department functions and patient safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent, assisting physicians in optimizing examination performance and interpretation.
  • Assist physicians in performing examinations using standard department protocols, isolation precautions, and sterile technique.
  • Utilize knowledge of IVs, heparin locks, and central line usage as they pertain to MRI.
  • Report, document, and correct any adverse, unsafe, or unusual conditions.
Requirements
  • Certification as an American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Radiologic Technologist (within 12 months).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiography or MRI certification from ARMRIT or CAMRT.
