Core Competencies: 4G LTE (Nokia-Siemens, Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent), Microwave Backhaul (Dragonwave, Alcatel, SAF Tehnika, Motorola, Ubiquiti, Exalt, etc.), TVWS (KTS, Carlson), WiFi & Radio Access Networks, Fiber Optic Service Delivery & Equipment, DC Power Systems (Eltek, Ericsson, Emerson), Voice Transport & IP PBX, IP Surveillance systems for enterprises and municipalities.

Position Summary/Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct servicing, testing, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of low-voltage security cabling, equipment, components, and devices related to Access Control, Video/CCTV, IP Cameras, Fiber, PA Systems, Network Infrastructure, Security, and Voice/Data Systems.
  • Diagnose faulty systems, apparatus, and components using testing equipment and hand tools to identify the source of malfunctions and rectify issues.
  • Install and mount electronic devices, panels, sensors, and components effectively.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install wiring & cabling with a solid understanding of industry standards and manufacturer color codes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the installation and operation of fiber optics, Cat 5e, 6a, RS 485, 232 analog and digital cable specifications.
  • Experience with Fusion Splicing is essential.
  • Utilize an Electronic (FLUKE) multi-meter to detect open circuits, short circuits, and ground faults in networking or other field wiring.
  • Possess a working knowledge of class 2 cabling as it pertains to NFPA 72, BICSI, and other relevant codes governing low voltage systems installation.
  • Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of fire alarm and other related electrical systems to determine efficient installation methods for new or upgraded systems.
  • Inspect electrical/security systems and their components to evaluate conditions, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventative maintenance.
  • Review all assigned work orders and provide regular updates to scheduling coordinators and clients.
  • Communicate all work details prior to commencement and upon completion to the client.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency in completing all assigned tasks.
  • Inspect customer sites and review work orders, blueprints/plans, and installation manuals to ascertain material requirements and installation procedures for optimal customer solutions.

Required Skills/Traits:

  • Seeking a proactive leader to enhance productivity within the field team.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the low voltage industry is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
  • Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
  • Dependability and integrity are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently.
  • Aptitude for Information Technology/Networking is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Kenwood and similar systems is advantageous.
