Key Responsibilities- Nursing Support and Case Management: Provide nursing support and case management services to assigned individuals, including conducting initial nursing assessments, developing and monitoring nursing care plans, and reviewing health status and delegated care.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise and train licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other staff members in the performance of delegated nursing tasks.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, supported individuals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and other health issues reported by staff, and provide direction and guidance as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of nursing care plans, assessments, and other relevant documentation, and report to management as required.
- Education and Licensure: Active RN licensure in the State of Maryland, preferably with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably with one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience of unlicensed assistive personnel preferred.
- Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of the Maryland Nurse Practice Act regarding delegation of nursing functions, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
