Job Overview

Midas Mission Viejo 1260 is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance services, including routine vehicle maintenance, oil changes, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical system problems
  • Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy
  • Mount and balance tires, and perform wheel alignments and suspension repairs
  • Replace air filters, cabin filters, and fuel filters, and perform transmission, power steering, and coolant flushes
  • Perform clutch jobs, valve jobs, and timing belt replacements
  • Diagnose and repair computer system issues, including engine control module and transmission control module problems
  • Test and replace batteries, starters, and alternators
  • Change bulbs and maintain and clean shop areas
Requirements
  • ASE certification preferred
  • Entry-level technicians must have prior knowledge of automotive basics
  • Knowledge of shop equipment and strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver's license
