Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including meats, vegetables, and desserts, to meet the needs of our guests.
  • Set up and operate action stations for banquets and buffets, ensuring that all ingredients and equipment are readily available.
  • Carve and serve meats as requested by guests, maintaining a high level of presentation and quality.
  • Support the banquet and buffet team by ensuring adequate stock of all items, including food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare foods, following all safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food, to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, and weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as required.
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, and monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Set up and break down work stations, and serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience in a food and beverage environment.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
