Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Asset Protection leadership and team members to manage delinquency and reduce credit losses while adhering to established policies during the collection of overdue loans and credit accounts.
  • Utilize collection systems, automated dialing technology, and reporting tools to maintain effective communication with members regarding overdue accounts, ensuring accurate documentation of all relevant information.
  • Engage with members to establish repayment plans and facilitate the collection of payments.
  • Respond to inquiries from both internal and external members about overdue accounts, conducting necessary account research, audits, and corrections.
  • Achieve or surpass team goals for delinquency and charge-off rates through thorough account reviews and proactive communication with account holders.
  • Remain informed about the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
  • Provide support to fellow team members as required.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant collections experience in a financial services environment is necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work setting that involves frequent telephone interactions.
  • Proven experience in professional and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and address sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capability to analyze and interpret complex information, making sound decisions with excellent judgment.
  • Experience in researching, analyzing, and resolving challenging issues.
  • Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office applications and various lending processing systems.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills are required.
