Job Overview

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing production efficiency and quality within the organization. This position focuses on providing technical expertise and support in various manufacturing processes including machining, flowforming, broaching, deburring, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage and oversee designated production cells/products, delivering key performance metrics to the management team.
  • Implement process enhancements aimed at reducing waste and increasing throughput.
  • Assist in the execution of re-work and sorting procedures.
  • Offer process guidance to the production team, aiding in the resolution of issues that hinder effective manufacturing.
  • Facilitate communication and resolution of issues with sub-suppliers.
  • Utilize SolidWorks to aid production operations.
  • Lead teams to enhance products and processes, including participation in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects.
  • Contribute to process safety enhancements.
  • Support various departments within the organization as required, including production (setups/problem-solving), maintenance (layouts, changeovers), and quality (PPAPs, CMM activities).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Adhere to the NETFORM Employee Handbook.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment screenings (e.g., drug test, physical examination, background check).
  • Exhibit effective communication skills with colleagues.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, or possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in high-volume manufacturing is preferred.
