Key Responsibilities:
- Floor Maintenance:
Utilize vacuum cleaners for carpet cleaning; employ carpet extractors or bonnet buffers for spot cleaning and overall carpet maintenance. - Hard Surface Care:
Employ brooms, mops, and buffers to effectively sweep, scrub, strip, and refinish hard floors while ensuring proper sanitation and disinfection. - Reporting:
Identify and report any damage to flooring or carpets, as well as situations where stain removal is not feasible. - Chemical Handling:
Mix, apply, and dispose of floor care chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines. - Equipment Maintenance:
Clean and store floor care equipment properly; operate machinery following instructions; perform minor repairs and report significant mechanical issues to the supervisor.
Safety Protocols:
- Adhere to personal protective equipment guidelines and universal precautions.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning materials and report any unsafe conditions.
- Follow isolation procedures as necessary.
Room Setup and Teardown:
- Assist in moving furniture and equipment as required, employing proper body mechanics.
- Facilitate room setup and teardown for special events as directed.
Additional Duties:
- Complete project reports detailing tasks accomplished during shifts.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions as scheduled.
- Utilize pallet jacks for moving supplies as needed.
Work Expectations:
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Adhere to uniform standards, ensuring cleanliness and proper presentation.
