Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients.

About the Role

This position requires a Respiratory Therapy Degree – AAS or BS and State Respiratory Care Practitioner License. Additionally, you should have Basic Life Support Certification and ALCS. Previous experience with mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and oximetry is also preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Administer therapy modalities as ordered by physician, performing all aspects of mechanical ventilators (initiation, operation, monitoring, etc)
  • Respond to code blue situations for assigned areas
  • Assist in transport of ventilator and critically ill patients
  • Verify physician orders prior to therapy treatment
  • Enter all patient contacts into appropriate system
  • Perform equipment rounds

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan with a 100% match on 3% to 9% of pay (based on years of service).
