Job Summary

As an Electronics Systems Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing various electronic equipment, as well as ensuring the efficient operation of computer networks and laboratory test equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electronic equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, LCR meters, and digital multimeters.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of computer networks and laboratory test equipment.
  • Prepare and assemble materials and equipment for experiments and demonstrations.
  • Perform minor maintenance on electronic and energy systems equipment.
  • Assist students and faculty with instructional activities.
  • Order, issue, receive, and store electronics materials and supplies.
Requirements
  • Three years of experience performing equipment operation, repair, and maintenance in areas relevant to assigned department.
  • Possession of a high school diploma/GED or the equivalent, supplemented by college-level coursework in relevant equipment technology program.
  • Possession of, or ability to acquire, a Class B driver's license with airbrake endorsements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working and troubleshooting with electronic test equipment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and management.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools to create new test fixtures and storage units.
