Key Responsibilities

As an Agricultural and Commercial Loan Officer at The Ladders, you will specialize in creating high-quality Ag and Commercial financing solutions while cultivating comprehensive relationships with clients. This role is essential in expanding and sustaining the bank's lending portfolio and actively contributing to the community.
  • Oversees a diverse portfolio of agricultural and commercial loans, establishing and nurturing strong ties with clients to promote business development and client loyalty.
  • Manages all aspects of ag and commercial lending, including loan origination, assessment, and portfolio oversight.
  • Handles a loan portfolio exceeding $25 million, maintaining relationships with 25-50 clients.
  • Engages with clients to gather necessary information for loan applications and addresses inquiries regarding the lending process. Collaborates with clients to identify their financial aspirations and strategizes on achieving those objectives.
  • Builds connections with community and professional organizations to enhance the bank's reputation and drive additional business opportunities.
  • Evaluates and approves loans within designated limits, referring applications that exceed those limits to senior management for further consideration.
Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, complemented by relevant professional experience. Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
  • Preferred background in Agriculture.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in lending and banking, specifically as an Agricultural and Commercial Loan Officer.
  • Ideal candidates will possess leadership capabilities alongside banking, credit analysis, or underwriting experience, as well as a proven track record in sales.
