The Patient Care Technician, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort, and safety of patients. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, prioritization, and the ability to receive and follow through on directions. The successful candidate will have completed an accredited nursing assistant training course or have at least six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent. Additionally, they will be required to attend in-depth orientation regarding patient care skill tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Perform patient care tasks and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Provide care, comfort, and safety to patients
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required
• Participate in in-service training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or at least six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, prioritization, and the ability to receive and follow through on directions
• Ability to attend in-depth orientation regarding patient care skill tasks
