Job Summary

Luxfer Superform is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Team Member to join our team in Riverside, California. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by working on various pieces of equipment, including surface finishing, trimming, assembly, correction, touch-up polish, touch-up paint, and inspection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare material for welding, including cleaning, sanding, and applying finishes as required.
  • Identify and repair any imperfections on the material (parts) prior to any outside process.
  • Grind, sand, trim, deburr, and polish materials according to specifications.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and stationary tools to hand-finish precision-formed aluminum components.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control department to ensure that finished products meet established standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including specifications, adjustments made, and time spent on each job.
  • Adhere to production schedules by working within the established timelines to meet production goals and delivery deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in sheet metal finishing techniques to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Accurately and in a timely manner complete all production and quality documents supporting AS9100 requirements.
Requirements
  • One (1) or more years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment, preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience operating angle grinder, blend motor, hand sander, band saw, and hand drills.
  • Previous work experience and education directly linked to the position may be considered.
  • Ability to utilize calipers, depth gauge, height gauge, and micrometer.
  • Ability to read Blueprints preferred. Knowledge of inspection tools is also preferred.
  • Must be familiar with safety requirements in the manufacturing area.
