Core Responsibilities:

  • Management of Requirements: Employ CORE and/or DOORS to effectively capture, manage, and monitor requirements throughout project lifecycles. Ensure that all requirements are well-defined, documented, and aligned with the overarching project goals.
  • Development of Specifications: Generate and uphold comprehensive specification documents that accurately represent system requirements and adhere to industry standards and client expectations.
  • System Design and Evaluation: Participate in the design and evaluation of complex systems, ensuring their integration and compatibility with existing infrastructures. Conduct trade studies and assessments to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and clients, to gather and refine requirements. Facilitate discussions and workshops to ensure a mutual understanding of system needs and limitations.
  • Oversight of Configuration Management: Manage configuration management processes to guarantee that all system components are accurately documented and controlled. Supervise version control and maintain requirement traceability.
  • Testing and Verification: Assist in the formulation of test plans and verify that systems fulfill all specified requirements. Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues identified during testing phases.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and sustain thorough documentation related to requirements, design, and system performance. Provide consistent updates and reports to project teams and management.
  • Commitment to Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process enhancements by identifying opportunities to improve requirements management and specification documentation practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a Systems Engineering role, with a strong focus on requirements management and specification documentation.
  • Technical Proficiencies:
  • Expertise in CORE and/or DOORS management tools.
  • Thorough understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in requirements traceability, configuration management, and system validation.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
