Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Piedmont Macon Medical Center. As a Staff Nurse on our Med Surg, Cardiac/Telemetry unit, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Function within the framework of the organization's policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability.
- Maintain standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
- Perform patient assessments, collecting data regarding physical, psychosocial, and health history.
- Organize patient data into the formulation of a plan of care, identifying additional information needed and making care decisions based on identified needs.
- Carry out plan of care to achieve desired patient outcomes, providing patient care specific to the setting, identified needs, and plan.
- Oversee activities of ancillary and support team members, identifying teaching opportunities and providing resources necessary for achieving educational goals.
- Communicate issues and concerns to the Charge Nurse, Clinical Manager, and/or physician as appropriate.
- Document patient care and concerns in the patient record.
- Graduate of a nursing program.
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible.
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
- BLS certification required.
- For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making decisions quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, and will be able to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
