Research Investigator in Dermatology

The University of Virginia School of Medicine's Dermatology Department is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished researcher to join its esteemed faculty. As a key member of our research platform, you will contribute to advancing the field of dermatology through innovative research and collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in dermatology, with a focus on oncology, targeted therapies, immunology, epidemiology, and cell biology
  • Develop and lead research projects, collaborating with colleagues and external partners as needed
  • Secure funding for research initiatives through grants and other means
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and manuscripts for publication
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring activities, as appropriate
Requirements:
  • MD degree and ABMS board certification or board eligibility in dermatology
  • Dual board certification or board eligibility in dermatopathology is highly desirable
  • Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
