Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant at Upstate University Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing clinical, laboratory, and clerical support to our healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians and other medical personnel in providing patient care, preparing patients for procedures and examinations, and performing routine laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy and specimen collection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and other medical personnel in providing patient care
  • Prepare patients for procedures and examinations
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures such as phlebotomy and specimen collection
  • Record vital patient data and maintain accurate records
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:

  • One year of full-time experience performing clinical and clerical support activities in a healthcare setting
  • Completion of a college, university, technical school, or vocational school medical assistant program
