The University of Kansas Health System's Department of Anesthesiology is actively looking for a dedicated anesthesiologist to become part of our esteemed team of professionals, including anesthesiologists, resident physicians, and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs). Our collaborative environment is focused on delivering exceptional patient care within a diverse and fast-paced clinical setting.
Clinical Opportunities:
Our health system provides a range of anesthetic locations, offering various challenging experiences. This includes opportunities for teaching and academic involvement, particularly for those working at our main campus. We have specialized anesthesia teams not only at the main campus but also at community hospitals and multiple ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Case Mix:
The role encompasses a broad spectrum of cases, such as high acuity trauma, regional anesthesia, endoscopy, vascular, cardiovascular, obstetrics, pediatrics, ENT, neurological surgery, orthopedics, pain management, and non-operating room anesthesia. Candidates with proficiency in regional blocks and epidurals are highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- MD/DO or equivalent degree
- Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology
- Eligibility for licensure in both Kansas and Missouri
