Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Academic Officer to join our team at TCS Education. As a key member of our executive leadership team, you will be responsible for providing academic and strategic support for our education system and all its colleges.
Key Responsibilities- Academic Program Development: Support the development, evaluation, and implementation of academic programs and services in conjunction with each college, ensuring quality and consistency with accreditation requirements.
- Learning Innovation: Collaborate with our Digital Teaching and Learning team to implement and support best practices for hybrid and online learning, advancing a leading-edge vision in academic delivery.
- Course Development: Work with faculty and instructional designers/technologists to enhance courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and distance education modalities, managing the scoping, design, development, and implementation of courses and programs of study.
- Policy and Best Practices: Provide guidance on implementing innovative and successful new academic programming ideas, ensuring alignment with our system's strategic priorities.
- Academic Leadership: Collaborate with multiple offices, including college and university Chief Academic Officers, Deans, and Department Chairs/Program Directors, to define and shape academic and strategic priorities for each college.
- Academic Resources: Manage academic resources, support faculty development and continuous learning, and promote academic strategies for successful student outcomes.
- Systemwide Collaboration: Serve as a support and liaison to the colleges' Academic Deans and Faculty Councils, facilitating regular meetings and collaborative sessions among academic leaders to foster strategic alignment and innovation.
- Accreditation and Compliance: Maintain familiarity with regional accreditation standards and updates, assist with drafting/editing of accreditation documents for compliance and operations, and work with legal colleagues and college leadership to ensure effective coordination.
- Doctoral Degree: Earned Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution.
- Administrative Experience: At least 10 years of progressively responsible, successful administrative and academic management experience in a growing, multifaceted organization.
- Strategic Planning: Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, academic practices, curriculum and instructional design, financial analysis, and budget formation.
- Leadership Experience: Experience coordinating efforts across functions and departments, working effectively within a matrix organization, and managing people and projects within a growth-oriented organization.
- Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, professional, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accreditation Knowledge: Extensive experience with accreditation and regulations of higher education.
