Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Custodian I to join our team at Oceanside Unified School District. As a key member of our custodial services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facilities and ensuring a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of school facilities.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet the needs of our schools and district.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with school administrators and staff to ensure that facilities meet the needs of students and staff.
  • Provide training and guidance to custodial staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in custodial services, preferably in a school district setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment and supplies.
