Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Yard Hostler to join our team at Staffmark Group. As a Yard Hostler, you will be responsible for operating a yard goat/yard mule to move trailers within our company's yard, as well as transporting trailers between yards for candidates with a Class A CDL. This is a full-time position with various shift options available.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a yard goat/yard mule to move trailers within the company's yard.
  • Transport trailers between yards for candidates with a Class A CDL.
  • Perform blindside backing maneuvers within tight spaces.
  • Transfer trailers between docks, swapping empty trailers with loaded ones.
  • Conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections, ensuring safety measures like wheel chocking are followed.
  • Handle 50-75 trailer moves per shift in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • No more than 3 moving violations and accidents in the past 3 years.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Minimum 12 months of verifiable yard hostler experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 23 years old.
