Role ResponsibilitiesThe HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Key duties include:
- Installing and servicing environmental control systems using expertise in refrigeration theory and pipefitting.
- Conducting startup, turnover, and shutdown procedures for HVAC systems.
- Connecting motors, compressors, and controls to power sources and ensuring proper functionality.
- Assembling ductwork and utilizing appropriate tools for installation.
- Testing systems for leaks and adjusting controls to maintain optimal performance.
- Documenting maintenance actions accurately in the IEMS system.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited technical program.
- Certification from the EPA and state HVAC technician certification.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in HVAC systems.
- Ability to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively or independently.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Physical capability to perform duties under various environmental conditions.
