Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dietitian I to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our Nutrition Services department, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement nutrition care plans for patients, utilizing evidence-based practice guidelines and the Nutrition Care Process.
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and families in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings, using a variety of teaching methods and materials.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and participate in the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient information and care plans in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Make referrals to other services, agencies, and community resources as needed, to support patient care and well-being.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field of study, such as nutrition or dietetics.
  • Successful completion of an AND-approved internship/training program.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification, or eligibility to sit for the RD exam within 90 days of hire.
  • Current Medicare provider status number, if required by state or federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Dietitian (CD) certification in Washington state, if required by employer.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, with a focus on nutrition care and education.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent moving around the work area, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 10 pounds. The work environment is a medical/hospital setting or office environment, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
