Job Title: Director of Marketing and Communications

At Vermont Foodbank, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Marketing and Communications to lead our marketing and communications efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that drives engagement, raises awareness, and supports our mission to eliminate hunger in Vermont.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a marketing and communications plan that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of marketing and communications professionals to ensure effective execution of marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns that drive engagement and support our mission.
  • Manage and maintain our brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing and communications channels.
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy that engages our audience and supports our marketing and communications goals.
  • Manage and analyze our website, ensuring it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with our marketing and communications goals.
  • Develop and implement a content marketing strategy that showcases our expertise and supports our marketing and communications goals.
  • Manage and maintain our email marketing program, ensuring effective communication with our audience and alignment with our marketing and communications goals.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on non-profit or food banking experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire our audience.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of marketing and communications professionals.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Experience with social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
