The Network Administrator III is a critical role within our IT department, responsible for the administration and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This includes overseeing the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware, firewalls, and security devices.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of client/server applications, operating systems, and telephone systems.
- Define and implement internet security using network firewalls, content filtering software, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory for desktop user authentication, group policies, and email distribution lists.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade all client/server application environments, including operating systems and patch management.
- Administer the corporate messaging systems, including Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Lync, secure email, and anti-spam software.
- Monitor and maintain all network and system logs for performance, security, and troubleshooting.
- Oversee and manage the virtual server (VM) environment, including provisioning new virtual servers and monitoring VM and supporting hardware performance.
- Support, maintain, and manage the storage area network (SAN), provisioning storage, maintaining connectivity, and troubleshooting performance issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Four (4) years of progressive experience in a senior level technical capacity for a medium to large organization with a structured IT department.
- Or, eight (8) years of experience in intermediate to senior level technical capacity for a medium to large organization with a structured IT department.
- CCNP or JNCIS-ENT certification.
- Proficiency with Windows, Cisco, and Juniper platforms in architecture, design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
This is a mid-level to advanced career analytics or technical person position, requiring strong technical skills and experience in network administration, security, and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
