Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including routine and advanced imaging, utilizing proper technique and providing clear instructions to patients.
  2. Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  3. Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Interact effectively with patients and care providers to coordinate and prioritize procedures, ensuring high-quality patient care and continuity.
  5. Rotate within departments and clinics to ensure proper coverage and adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and care methods.
  6. Assist radiologists and medical professionals in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures, using equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
  7. Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked, and maintain Infection Control standards.
  8. Accurately code and enter charges.
  9. Adapt to patient needs, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to CHRISTUS Health Care's Core values.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required.
  2. 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  3. Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
  4. Current state licensure required.
  5. Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
