Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Laboratory Technician

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic laboratory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of patient care.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to assist physicians in performing routine and complex gastro-intestinal diagnostic procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for orienting and training lower-level technicians, providing pre and post-operative education to patients, and dealing directly with other hospital departments to schedule patient procedures and order supplies.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist physicians in performing gastro-intestinal diagnostic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and endoscopy.
- Orient and train lower-level technicians on laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Provide pre and post-operative education to patients on laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Deal directly with other hospital departments to schedule patient procedures and order supplies.
- Perform techniques using specialized equipment, including endoscopes, light sources, and GID accessory equipment.
- Two years of experience as a Gastro-Intestinal Diagnostic Laboratory Technician.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- A competitive salary range of $19.36-$26.36 per hour.
