Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing patient care and support services under the supervision of licensed nurses or medical staff.
  2. Assisting with unit patient admissions and transfers, facilitating telehealth encounters, and responding to emergencies.
  3. Performing venipuncture, finger-sticks, HIV Pre and Post Test Counseling, Rapid HIV Testing, and measuring and recording patients' vital signs.
  4. Performing EKGs and assisting with dry sterile dressing changes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A four-year high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • NYS Department of Health phlebotomy training program.
  • Patient Care Associate with EKG Certification.
  • AHA BLS Certification and Computer Competency required.
  • HIV Pre and Post Test Counseling training/certification.
