Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and operational management reports, as well as maintaining department expense budget files and preparing monthly department actual to budget reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and operational management reports.
  • Maintain department expense budget files and prepare monthly department actual to budget reporting.
  • Provide analysis and compilation of work order and purchase price variances, reviews and production reporting, and correct errors.
  • Prepare and maintain JSOX documentation, provide internal and external audit reports as required.
  • Manage annual inventory standard setting process and on-going maintenance of standard cost files.
  • Assist in the oversight of fixed assets, including capital requests, asset ledgers, and depreciation calculations, and our fixed asset inventory.
  • Perform monthly cycle count audits, report on results, and generate recommendations for improvements in internal controls.
  • Oversight and monitoring of Accounts Payable automation process.
  • Perform ad-hoc research and historical analysis utilizing varying data sources to help resolve issues confronting business partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • Five to seven years of related work experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to communicate with all employees and deal with difficult situations as they arise, and to effectively convey company policy and procedure.
  • Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must be fully versed in the use and application of personal computers and associated software programs (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Working knowledge of QAD Enterprise Applications is preferred.
