Job Description

The Leidos Company is seeking a skilled IT Network and Server Administrator to maintain the reliability, security, and performance of our computer systems and networks.

This role involves working closely with our IT and management teams to ensure the smooth operation of our computer systems, resolve technical issues, and implement new technologies as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain our computer systems and networks, including servers, workstations, and mobile devices.
  • Monitor our computer systems and networks for technical issues and resolve these issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption, to protect our computer systems and networks.
  • Manage user accounts, including creating new accounts, resetting passwords, and revoking access as needed.
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades, as needed, to ensure that our computer systems and networks remain up-to-date and secure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for our computer systems and networks, including network diagrams, user manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with our IT team to ensure that our computer systems and networks are aligned with our technology needs and are effective in supporting our operations.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, including new operating systems, hardware, and software, and make recommendations for adopting new technologies as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 5 years IT experience, or 15 years experience with network and/or server administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in network and server administration.
  • Strong technical background, with a good understanding of computer systems, networks, and security technologies.
  • Experience supporting MDM device management systems, administration of shared resources, Horizon view, Exchange management, and backup management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to accurately perform routine tasks and maintain documentation.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco, VMWare, Microsoft certifications, are highly desirable.
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $67,600.00 - $122,200.00 per year.
