Industrial Electrician Job Description

Lignetics, Inc. is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components of industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical System Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment, ensuring compliance with national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as a team member or alone to complete projects, utilizing strong communication skills to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Safety and Compliance: Observe safety procedures and meet electrical codes, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Technical Decision Making: Make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions.
  • Electrical System Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Heavy Equipment Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair heavy-duty equipment and industrial communications systems.
  • Electrical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, utilizing knowledge of electrical systems and hand tools.
  • Automation and Control Systems: Work with programmable logic/automation controls, including RS-logic software and Allen Bradley drives.
Qualifications and Education:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, with some cases requiring an Associate's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Journeyman experience or completion of an apprenticeship program, with knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, motivated self-starter, and ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
