Job SummaryAs a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will provide mental health services to inmates, conduct initial evaluations, and develop treatment plans. You will also work closely with the Senior Psychologist, Supervisor, or Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Responsibilities- Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history, to assess inmate needs and make treatment recommendations.
- Provide crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, and face-to-face interviews with mentally ill patients.
- Identify relevant signs and symptoms of psychiatric disorders and comprehensively assess, diagnose, and manage presenting symptoms.
- Write clinical reports, develop treatment plans, and consult with supervisors and treatment team members.
- Monitor inmate progress, document all care provided, and apply community standards of practice for non-medical treatment modalities.
- Perform mental status exams, examine prior mental health records, and conduct mental health education and resource development.
- Assist patients in applying for entitlement benefits, facilitating transition between settings, and performing pre-release functions.
- Participate in IDTT meetings, compile and analyze data, and provide written reports and consultations.
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and be licensed to practice in the state of California.
We offer a competitive salary of $60/hour (W2/traveler) and flexible scheduling, including part-time options.
