Job Responsibilities:

The Environmental Sustainability Specialist will play a crucial role within the Environmental, Health & Safety team, with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with the parent company to design, draft, prepare, and review Corporate Responsibility Reports, Climate Reports, and similar documents.
  • Working alongside subject matter experts to facilitate the preparation of SASB disclosures, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of reported data.
  • Managing and maintaining third-party differentiated gas certifications.
  • Identifying and monitoring voluntary sustainability initiatives, providing recommendations for participation.
  • Conducting ESG and air quality peer benchmarking analyses and implementing recommendations for enhancement.
  • Keeping an up-to-date understanding of relevant federal, state, and local environmental regulations applicable to Seneca's operations.
  • Participating in industry organizations to analyze new regulations and their interpretations.
  • Developing compliance plans and communicating the impacts and requirements of new regulations to interested parties.
  • Assisting in the preparation of greenhouse gas reporting.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of regulatory filings.
  • Leading the annual operational assessment program, including topic selection, vendor identification, and project management.
  • Adhering to Seneca's EHSQ policies, standards, and procedures while demonstrating active involvement in EHSQ programs.

Job Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, data science, engineering, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of professional experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the energy sector and/or in an ESG or environmental-focused role is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Effective time management and project management capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel periodically.

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
