Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Neuro Stroke Department. As a LPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic assessment of patients and monitor response to interventions
  • Obtain vital signs and measurements, and safely perform designated nursing procedures
  • Administer and record routine medications, and monitor infusions of epidural and patient-controlled analgesia medications
  • Provide emotional and physical comfort and safety for patients, and assist with hygiene, nourishment, and related personal care
  • Monitor patient response to nourishment and enteral feeding flow rates and irrigation
  • Perform venipuncture to administer fluids, medicine, blood, and/or withdraw blood, and assist with various diagnostic procedures
  • Implement appropriate critical pathways, and establish and maintain communications with the healthcare team, patient, and family
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing Program
  • A minimum of two years patient care experience preferred (within the last 5 years)
  • Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Georgia
  • Current BLS (CPR) Healthcare provider certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments
