Position Overview:
As a key contributor to the NASA Expendable Launch Vehicle Integrated Services contract, you will engage in a variety of critical assignments that encompass the evaluation of analytical components throughout the entire lifecycle of each NASA ELV mission and build cycle. Your expertise in the design, production, and operation of complex aerospace liquid propulsion systems will be essential in supporting space launch vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor launch services and site contractors to ensure adherence to technical and mission specifications.
- Conduct reviews within the NASA Launch Services Program (LSP) and prepare documents and technical assessments addressing relevant integration issues.
- Engage in independent analysis and provide recommendations for resolving challenges, necessitating effective communication with both NASA and Launch Vehicle Contractor personnel.

Collaboration and Reporting:
- Actively participate in engineering review boards and contribute to discussions on matters impacting future missions.
- Attend and provide input during Launch Vehicle Contractor design reviews, test plan evaluations, and mission integration meetings.
- Document findings and concerns clearly, presenting them to fellow engineers and NASA management.

Technical Expertise:
- Perform tasks related to space launch vehicle propulsion and pneumatic systems, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of liquid rocket motors and main propulsion systems.
- Preferred experience includes:
- First stage and upper stage propulsion systems.
- Engines utilizing liquid cryogenic fuels and oxidizers, including LOX/RP and LNG.
- Design, manufacturing, and testing of engine components.
- Familiarity with expendable launch vehicle propulsion systems and specific engines such as RD-180, RL-10, M1D, MvacD, BE-3, and BE-4.
- Oversee pre-launch integration, checkout, and problem resolution for launch vehicle propulsion systems.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. Consideration will be given to candidates with nine years of experience and/or certifications in lieu of a degree.
