The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies to accelerate the growth of innovative technologies and startups within the higher education sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Incubation and Acceleration
    • Develop and implement strategies to identify, select, and support innovative technologies and startups with high growth potential.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide resources and support to entrepreneurs and innovators, including access to funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including investors, industry leaders, and academic institutions, to promote the growth of innovative technologies and startups.
  • Program Development and Management
    • Design and implement programs to support the growth of innovative technologies and startups, including workshops, seminars, and networking events.
    • Manage and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies to promote the growth of innovative technologies and startups.
  • Communication and Outreach
    • Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the growth of innovative technologies and startups, including social media, email marketing, and press releases.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and industry leaders.
    • Represent InsideHigherEd at industry events and conferences to promote the growth of innovative technologies and startups.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Masters degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or computer science.
  • Experience
    • 7+ years of experience in technology incubation and acceleration, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
    • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategies to accelerate the growth of innovative technologies and startups.
  • Skills
    • Strong understanding of the higher education sector and the challenges and opportunities it presents.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership-building.
